  3. Choose push to talk or voice activation.
  4. Set a talk key if you use push to talk.
  5. Run the microphone test.

Press V

Use this menu to select audio devices, test your microphone, adjust player volumes, manage voice groups, and open voice chat settings.

How proximity works

Nearby players get louder as you approach and quieter as you move away.

Voice groups ignore distance. Open the group menu from the voice chat screen. Leave the group to return to proximity chat.

If voice chat is not working

  • Press V. Check the connection and selected audio devices.
  • Run the microphone test. Check your system's microphone permission.
  • If you can hear players from far away, leave your voice group to return to proximity chat.
  • For a disconnected plug icon, disable your VPN or try another network.
