Player shops

Create a chest or barrel shop, set its quantity, add staff, and change the sign style.

Lantern's chest-based shops let you buy and sell items from a chest or barrel.

Create a shop

  1. Place a chest or barrel.
  2. Hold the item you want to sell or buy.
  3. Shift-left-click the chest or barrel.

The amount in your hand becomes the shop quantity. Holding 32 items creates a shop that buys or sells 32 at a time; holding one creates a shop for a single item.

Manage a shop

Shift-right-click the shop sign to open its settings. From there you can update prices, add shop staff, and configure other options.

Shop staff can restock the shop, collect profits, and help with other shop management.

Change the sign style

Use /shop sign <type>to change your shop's sign style. Chest shop signs have also been improved, and item lore displays correctly when you view the shop chest.
